Help!  My Aunt Miya submitted her registration but then when she attempted to sign in to POE it asked her for a confirmation.  It's been a while since I registered and I don't remember how I did it!

Should she try to register again?  We don't want to make unnecessary work for POE by creating a second registration with the same information so we thought we'd ask first.

Thanks!

Hi Diana. She should have received a confirmation email, containing a link which when clicked on would verify her account. No need for it now though as we've manually set the account live. When she tries to login again everything should work fine.

Hello POE people,

This is the only way I can find to contact you with a problem...(by back-dating to find 'Qoute'. I cannot respond to members, nor can I edit...I hoped to answer your last, Chris and Sarah, but there was no edit 'button" to access. Also, I cannot submit to a Forum.

"HELP"!Frown

Check to see if you a logged in Harry. The other day, for some unknown reason, I kept getting logged out. I had to keep logging in again. Fortunately it has cleared up now though. By the way, the eit button is only on your own posts and only if you are logged in.

Come to think of it Peter, I've been logged out over the last few days too. I just thought it was my computer, which is having it's own problems.

Hi Harry

I know that deleting your Temporary Internet Files can resolve a lot of logging in problems. If you are not sure how to do it, here is a link that will help you through the process and covers most of the common operating systems and browsers.
http://www.hotcomm.com/faq/faq_temp_files.asp

If you're still having problems after that, please let us know and we'll look into it further.

Hi Harry. As the above did not fix the problem, please try changing your 'Temporary Internet Files' settings to 'Automatically'.

Instructions for Internet Explorer -

1. At the top of your browser, click  'Tools' then 'Internet Options'.
2. Make sure you are on the 'General' tab of the 'Internet Options' box that opens up.
3. Click the 'Settings..' button (located in the 'Temporary Internet Files' section or 'Browsing history' section, depending on browser version)
4. You should now see in the new box that pops up 'Check for newer versions of stored pages:' followed by several options such as 'Every time i visit the webpage', 'Every time i start Internet Explorer', 'Automatically' and 'Never'.
5. If you see the option 'Never' is selected, this can cause the problem you're experiencing. Please change it by selecting 'Automatically' or one of the other options instead.
