I have a suggestion poe, on my LOTR board we are able to use a handle or pseudonym to protect our identity, here we not only have our first names but last names too, which makes me a little uncomfortable, though I'm sure others are fine with it.

Is there an option where we can change our real name to a fake name (like you have), even just a first name, though it looks like we a have a fair share of Sues on board.

That would be much appreciated

Hi Sue

When logged in, under 'My Menu' click on 'My Account'.
On your account page, scroll down to 'My Preferences' and click the link 'Click here to edit'. You'll see an option allowing you to change your 'display name' from your real name, to your username. Select your username from the drop-down.

Click 'Save Changes' and from now on your username will be used throughout the site, and your real name will remain hidden.
If this is not what you're after, let me know and I'll see what else we can do.

Hi, this is only my opinion and others may well have a different view, but one of the things I like about this site and forum is that unlike other forums and websites we all have our own real names. we know each others names a little about where we are from, and I quite like that. This is after all a website dealing with photographs of england, nothing here that would cause people to have to hide their identity, nothing controversial or seedy etc.....

Obviously this is very much a matter of personal choice but personally I hope most people here will go on using their own names.

Have to agree with you there Ian, I use my real name and have no intention of hiding behind a pseudonym. This isnt just a 'blog' this is an informative interesting grown up site made by people who are genuinly interested in taking and posting beautiful interesting pictures for others to enjoy.Smile  Anyway...as you say.... its up to the individual as to what they wish to do.

After several friends checked in to view my pictures, I thought I would go back to my real name. But thanks for the option POE.
