          KEN FOLLETT---THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH   (2nd edition on POE)

               I watched the Channel 4 production of the first part of this last weekend and was amazed at how they were adrift with some facts

1. The White Ship sank after hitting rocks, not catching fire.

2  Henry 1 died 1135 not 1138.

3  Henry 2 born 1133 not 1138.

4   Matilda was known as Empress not Princess.

5   Events depicted took place in other places than as shown.

6   The list goes on-----
