Sue, you'd handle it better than I; I'd be forever afraid of why they invited us in the first place. Was it because they are swingers and were hoping we would join the frey?  YIKES! LOL!

By chance, you see a confidential memo about staff cutbacks. Your boss has writen the names of three co-workers on it. Do you warn them?

Now that's a hard one. My first reactioin would be to tell my boss I'd seen the memo, and go from there.

That is a hard one Sue.  I was in that predicament recently, only it wasn't a memo I saw, rather, the president (for whom I am administrative assistant) TOLD me she was going to be letting someone go and the person being fired was someone I had become friendly with over the past couple of years.  It was very difficult for me but I felt I had no option but to keep my mouth shut, because if word had got back to the president she would have known it was me who leaked.

I agree Diana, I would have to keep my mouth shut. I wouldn't want to lose my job but I would console my friend after the fact.

Indeed I did Cathy, and as it turned out all's well that ends well, my friend is able to collect and has decided to go back to school to finish up her degree.

Something goes missing from your workplace, you know who took it, but because you where the last one there, you are being blamed.

Do you tell the boss that you know, or confront the guilty party.

BTW. Aussies hate dobbing ( telling on someone )

This did happen to me, and the guilty one was a big rough character.

If it's something that would blow over, I'd probalby not dob.  But if I was facing the loss of my job over it, you bet I'd rat.  The culprit deserves it anyway.
