About Wonersh
Picturesque village on the road from Guildford to Cranleigh. Here visitors will find a wealth of timber-frame black and white properties dominating the narrow village streets, thus the village retains a lovely timeless atmosphere.
The best way to experience the village is on foot, it offers a delightful "pepper pot" at the cross-roads, an historic church dedicated to St.John the Baptist, and the graceful building of the United Reform Church. There are atmospheric inns in which to enjoy a tasty meal and refreshing drink whilst contemplating all that you have seen, and in sharp contrast to these is the new sports pavilion fronting the village sports-field.
There are lovely countryside walks, and the nearby river gives the opportunity for riverside strolls and river pursuits.
For anyone exploring the Surrey countryside, this rural English village is well worth a visit.
