Built in the 17th century as a temperance inn, it became one of the main coaching stop overs on the road from London to Holyhead. It remained a temperance hotel until 1950s when it changed from The Feathers Temperance Hotel to the now Central Hotel. The building is in common with other buildings in the square and is a grade 2 listed. Visit our Central Cafe which provides all kinds of meals from take away to home cooked meals. All our food is freshly prepared when you order. All our deserts and cakes are home made on the premises. An evening meal is available upon request from our excellent menu.
