Barn owl....tyto alba

I took this picture for two reasons really, one, Barn owls are becoming very rare and two, this bird was hunting in the middle of the day. Excuse the quality, it was 50 metres away!

good capture Andy (I also saw a Barn owl at the weekend, whilst out walking, & this one was hunting in the middle of the day - perhaps its something to do with the weather conditions?)

Wow! One of my all time favourtie birds. I've only ever seen a few live ones, sadly plenty dead by the side of the road. Great, great, great capture Andy!
