Description

Six-Spot Burnet Moth, Poolsbrook Country Park, Staveley

I am still amazed we actually saw this, we were very lucky. Hiding in the grass is the Six-spot Burnet Moth just out of the papery cocoon and drying out until it is ready to fly. Looking at the photo closer we realised there are two moths.
