Graham you are the artist of Shillingstone. I am sitting in Sydney 36C degree heat and I can't decide which of your photos I like best. Today, it's the winter scenes I think. I look at your work often. Thank you for those early mornings and late evenings. I will visit Shillingstone next March, simply because of your photos. Well done. Faith

As an old Shillingstone-boy in U.S & revisiting in May/June '13, am delighted with Mr Rains gorgeous photos of my family's wonderful old home-village in'Vale of Blackmore'! That tiny bridge- magically captured in winter-was formerly known as "The Plank" -& that's literally all it once was in my childhood & youth-a double-wooden plank with no rail! -linking 2 pastures of my relatives the Popes farm. Here I spent many happy hours fishing with my still resident cousin Chris Pope for minnows & sticklebacks & later helped with hay-making for which my Aunt Barbara (Pope) wld supply yum s/wches & hard 'scrump' cider. Ah! Golden memories!
