All Saints Church, Faringdon

The churches squat appearance is due to having no steeple which was destroyed during fighting in the civil wars. Parts of the Church date from the 13th century. The church has some interesting monuments inside and is well worth a visit. It was described by Nikolaus Pevsner in his 'Buildings of England' series as "one of the richest churches of Berkshire (Faringdon being a newcomer to Oxfordshire)
