Description

A picture of Scampton

The Anglican Parish Church in Scampton, Lincolnshire, is an unsophisticated building dedicated to St. John the Baptist. Portions of it date from Norman times. The church was re-modelled in 1794 and was restored in 1876-7. There is some modern and unsympathetic patching up on the south face of the tower.
