Buildings & Structures![]() Submitted by Peggy Cannell(4th May 2008)Old Coastguard Houses. During the second World War there was a speedy evacuation of the people living at Shingle Street due to information recieved whether it was true or false, info regarding this is well documented and found on the web. the properties are now mainly used as holiday accommodation. It is very remote but surprisingly there were a lot of people meandering around.
