Bowood House Lake

The lake at Bowood House was created by landscape gardener Lancelot 'Capability' Brown by flooding the village of Mannings Hill which lies beneath the lake today.

good panoramic view Paul....Capability Brown was fairly active in this area and around Corsham he did some good work
