About The Queens Leeds - A QHotel

The Queens is a landmark hotel in central Leeds, ideal for business or leisure, very close to the shops, clubs and bars. Easily accessible from the M1, M62 and A1, there is on-site parking for 70 cars (charges apply and no guarantee). The Queens is the most famous hotel in Leeds city centre. Opened as a hotel in 1937, this historic property occupies a prime position on City Square, next to Leeds Train Station and within walking distance of the city centre attractions. The Queens has recently completed a 2 year, 10 million pound refurbishment. This has seen all 200+ bedrooms completely refurbished, as well as adding full air conditioning to all rooms. The spacious bedrooms span eight floors, with many offering fantastic views across the city. Choose from a collection of Standard or Premium rooms and sample all of the comforts and facilities that you would expect of a four-star luxury hotel. Also now available at the hotel are 2 hours of free internet access. All guests staying at The Queens Hotel now have free access to LA Fitness (approximately 6 minutes walk from the hotel), which includes a gym, pool, LA Spin, sauna, steam room and spa. Other facilities include the Cafe Bar, beauty, alternative treatments and sunbeds. Charges apply for these. Please note that the LA Fitness is only available to guests 18 years and older. Shopping in Leeds is better than anywhere else. Many historic buildings have been converted to beautiful ornate shopping malls, such as the Victoria Quarter or the Corn Exchange, which offer a choice of unique high fashion boutiques. As you would expect, Leeds also offers the myriad of usual high street shops and department stores. The towns and tourist spots in the Yorkshire area are also easily accessible from us. There is a wealth of famous attractions nearby including the Royal Armouries, where you can experience battle re-enactments and hundreds of historical exhibits. Theatre lovers can choose from the Yorkshire Playhouse, The Grand or the Leeds Civic Theatre. Further afield, attractions include Kirkstall Abbey (extensive ruins of a Cistercian Abbey) and the beautiful Castle Howard, often featured in television period dramas. Also visit Armley Mills, which was once the world's largest woollen mill and where you can now retrace the steps of the Industrial Revolution. Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Harewood House are also just a short drive from Leeds and well worth a visit. Situated midway between Edinburgh and London, Leeds is within easy access of major routes - the M1/A1 for travelling north and the M62 for travelling east and west. In addition, the Queens Hotel is only 12 miles from Leeds/Bradford Airport, which operates a domestic network and daily European flights. An elegant hotel, The Queens is also the perfect choice for conferences, meetings and short breaks.
