In Somerset yet only approx 11 miles to the Dorset coast a mellow local stone stable conversion available for holiday letting. Set in 2.5 acres on the Dorset/Somerset border and set in an area of outstanding natural beauty with panoramic views stretching for miles.
Well furnished and equipped it makes an excellent base for walking and exploring the many historic houses and gardens in this area, including National Trust properties such as Montacute House, Barrington Court, Lytes Carey, and the privately owned gem Forde Abbbey. Also extremely local is the Yeovilton Air Museum, The Haynes Motor Museum with its fascinating collection of both classic and vintage cars and Cricket St. Thomas' Lake and Gardens.
The World Heritage Jurassic coast is within easy driving distance for Thomas Hardy country, Lyme Bay, Weymouth and the Chesil Beach where you can enjoy superb scenic coastal walking, fossil hunting, fishing and boating or just simply soak up the seaside atmosphereof therse charming Dorset seaside resorts. Inland family days out can be spent visiting such places as Glastonbury Tor with its splendid views over the somerset levels, Chedar Gorge & Caves, Wells Catherdral and the Georgian city of Bath with its Roman Baths, Spas, museums, shops and restuarants.
The picturesque small town of Beaminster is 4 miles away.
WOOD DAIRY STABLES is situated at the end of a long track in courtyard formation around a non working farmhouse. It has its own garden furniture, BBQ and use of the large lawned areas. There is ample parking and PETS ARE WELCOME by prior arrangement.
The village of North Perrott is a conservation area and has a good village pub with excellent restaurant. There is also a Farm Shop with garden centre and Coffe Shop. It is a beautiful walking area with several national trails crossing the village. The Parrett Trail being one of the main ones, following the source of the River Parrett (through the village) out to the North Coast at Bristol.
North Perrott is so ideally situated for so many attractions be they to the North, South, East or West that it has become a much sort after holiday destinatio.
WOOD DAIRY STABLES is set on 2 floors and offering on the ground floor: large traditional beamed lounge/dining area with an inglenook fireplace, plenty of comfortable seating, TV with DVD, a dining room table with 6 chairs and sideboard. There is a fully fitted breakfast kitchen with built in electric double oven, hob, fridge/freezer microwave and table and 4 chairs. There is a downstairs bathroom with bath, toilet and basin. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, 1 double, ( FOUR POSTER) and 1 twin and a shower room with toilet and basin.
Outside there is a large patio area with garden table and chairs and use of all the surrounding lawned area.
There is ample parking for many cars.
