About Downs Edge

At Downs Edge, you will find the warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere of a country house. Enjoy the wide selection of homemade dishes on our gourmet breakfast menu, with Downs Edge Marmalade and Preserves. The house is set in magnificent gardens opening onto the Bristol Downs at the front - an open park of some 450 acres - and onto the Botanic Gardens at the back. Truly a countryside location in the heart of the city. It is ideally situated for the amenities of the City, including theatres, cinemas, restaurants, both Universities & special places of interest, yet it lies amid the peaceful surroundings of acres of open parkland. The house is furnished with fine period furniture and paintings, and a library containing many interesting books on the history of Bristol. The accommodation comprises 8 thoughtfully furnished bedrooms, each with its own facilities. Car Parking in the Grounds. It is helpful to give an approximate time of arrival - particulary at weekends. Conference and Training Facilities are available in a unique location on the edge of Bristol's Floating Harbour.
