Malham Lings,near Malham, Craven Pennines

Malham Lings is a natural limestone "pavement" deply riven by percolating rainwater, whose slight acidity allows it to very slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate that makes up the bulk of the Carboniferous Limestone of Malham Lings
