About Overdale

Overdale is a seventeenth century Dales farmhouse in Burtersett, near Hawes in Wensleydale. With breathtaking views over the Dale, it sleeps 6 in 3 good sized bedrooms. Burtersett is a quiet village with little traffic. The area is perfect for walking, mountain biking or just relaxing. Many walks can be done straight from the cottage. Wensleydale is characterised by traditional hay meadows, stunning wild flowers and abundant wildlife. Hawes is just over a mile away with its famous creamery, shops, pubs, banks and weekly markets – all visitors’ needs are catered for. Nearby attractions include: White Scar Caves, Aysgarth Falls, Wensleydale Railway, Bolton Castle and Middleham Castle.
The cottage is equipped with local maps, guide books and plenty of games and books for all the family. It is an ideal location for an active holiday or you can relax reading a book, enjoying the stunning views.
Well behaved dogs are welcome. It is a no smoking cottage.
