About Bluebell Cottage

Bluebell cottage was our home for nearly ten years during which time we have renovated it to a very high standard, which ensures that it has a real home from home feeling.
The cottage comfortably sleeps up to six people in its three well proportioned bedrooms. There is a king size bed in one room & traditional brass bed in another with twin beds to the rear, overlooking its own private garden & large shared garden beyond. The bathroom includes both a large shower & bath as well as toilet & washbasin.
We provide duvets & pillows but you will need to bring your own bedlinen & towels.
Downstairs the lounge, with woodpanelled walls and beamed ceiling, and the family sized kitchen, both feature woodburning stoves for cosy winter stays although the property also has gas central heating throughout with traditional cast iron radiators downstairs. We supply wood & kindling for your first night & logs are readily available in town.
Property has Freesat TV & DVD player for quiet nights lounging on comfy settees in front of the fire.
The kitchen has cooker, microwave & fridge & easily seats 6 around large pine table with handcrafted kitchen units. You will find everything you need to cook family meals if you decide to stay in & enjoy a peaceful evening.
The rear courtyard garden enjoys both midday & evening sunshine. There is a separate range of buildings housing utility room with freezer, washer & dryer, a toilet & a further store & even a dog kennel. There is ample room to store bikes & outside furniture.
Beyond the delightful cottage garden there is a hidden entrance to a large rear garden which is shared with our neighbouring Lilac cottage.
Here you can relax & enjoy the solitude of this secluded expanse of lawn & flower beds featuring tradional garden plants as well as some more exotic species.
Many of our guests return year after year to enjoy the very special ambience that first appealed to ourselves so many years ago, hidden behind a rather austere frontage which belies the true sense of homeliness of this tradional flint cottage.
The house is situated away from the hustle of the Quay but within 5 minutes easy walk of shops, pubs and restaurants.
We also have two other properties in Wells-Next-The-Sea, namely Lilac Cottage and Cobblers Cottage and we welcome dogs in all three properties. We do make a charge of £10 per dog per week or part thereof.
Please note that we operate a strict no smoking policy inside all our properties and ask that our guests respect this.
If you book our cottage via the website you will immediately be charged a partial deposit & will then be required to pay the balance of the 25% deposit direct to ourselves upon request with the final balance payable 6 weeks prior to your stay.
