Description

Medieval Town Map, showing the Old Town Wall

There was a moat around the wall and only sand dunes between that and the sea. The Townfolk each had to build a section of the wall themselves or pay someone do do it for them, when the moat became filled with the sand it was the townsfolk who had to clear it. There are 11 remaining Towers and it is the second place in the country for the amount of wall still standing.
