Pictures of Lincolnshire*Stay in London from just £10 per night!!* ![]() Submitted by Lincolnian ©(24th October 2006)A picture of Lincoln Cathedral Lincoln Cathedral seen from Castle Square. The area in the foreground is now pedestrianised but I can remember when it was open to traffic. The tree, showing its autumn colours, stands to one side of the old road through the Exchequergate but has no respect to the space it was allocated having now grown out and over the roadway to fill nearly all the gap between the properties. The Exchequergate (the arches of which can be seen behind the tree) which dates from 1825 was one of the gateways into the then walled Cathedral close. A picture of: Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln, Lincolnshire Photograph taken with a NIKON E4600 This picture also appears in the following picture tours: pictures by this user user contact user profile use picture in website or blog Comment by MadeinEngland(6th July 2007)Really nice scene, excellent Comment by Lincolnian(10th April 2008)Thanks Diana. Incidentally the tree in this shot has now been removed opening up the view but removing some colour.
