A picture of Stow
The Whipping Post at Stow, Lincolnshire. The plaque reads "Stow Whipping Irons. The left hand irons are dated 1789 and have a makers stamp mark showing the letters W.H., possibly the initials of the maker of the irons. Records show that about 1600 a William Hill carried on the business of Stow village blacksmith"
