Pictures of Alkborough*Stay in London from just £10 per night!!* ![]() Submitted by Lincolnian(30th August 2007)War Memorial, Alkborough, Lincolnshire The War Memorial at Alkborough takes the form of a Celtic Cross and stands on the church green. It names 11 men of the parish who fell in WWI and bears the following inscription : "To the Glory of God and to the Memory of the men of this Parish who fell in the World War 1914-1918. Their Name liveth for evermore." Added later are the names of 5 men who fell in WWII with the inscription: "To the Memory of those who fell in the Great War, 1939-1945. Worthy of Everlasting Remembrance."
