Isle of Wight Electric Railway

They imported some pre-war London tube trains to run on the Ryde to Shanklin railway on the Isle of Wight. This rolling stock was in use on the Central, Northern and Piccadilly lines until the 1970's, and travelling on it again can be quite a nostalgic experience for Londoners.

I used to drive those on the London Underground. 1938 tube stock. Nice shot John. Brings back memories.
