Queen Anne's Alcove, Kensington Gardens

Queen Anne's Alcove overlooks the Italian Gardens and fountains. It was built to the design of Christopher Wren in 1705 and originally stood near Kensington Palace. The alcove faces south and the seats are sheltered from the wind, making it a popular resting area for those who just want to sit quietly and enjoy the view.
