This wonderful 17th century coaching inn is excellently located across Kew Green from the world famous Royal Botanical Gardens, a few minutes walk from the National Archives and Kew Steam Museum, and only 20 minutes by car from London's Heathrow airport. The hotel makes an ideal base for visiting Hampton Court Palace, Windsor Castle, Legoland Windsor, Thorpe Park, Richmond-upon-Thames, the central London sights and, in the summer months, Thames cruises from Kew pier, just adjacent to Kew Bridge. Kew Gardens tube station, on the District Line, is an 8 minute walk, as is Kew Bridge overground station, with a regular service to London Waterloo. Recently refurbished to the highest standard, the hotel has 31 en suite air-conditioned bedrooms, some specially designed for guests with disabilities and families. All of the rooms are now non-smoking. The traditional bar, with open fire in the winter, serves a wonderful selection of food and a wide range of Young's award-winning real ales and fine wines. Adjacent to the bar is an oak panelled non-smoking restaurant also serving food all day and it is here that you can enjoy choosing from the fresh fish menu that changes daily. The large garden can be enjoyed in the summer months and is a great place to spend balmy summer nights. If you are planning a family celebration, wedding, meeting or conference, our function room is a beautiful venue. We also have a licence for civil weddings.
