About The Academy, The Bloomsbury Town House
Set in the heart of Bloomsbury, the Academy Town House is just a short walk from Oxford Street and Covent Garden. Guests can enjoy the warmth and services of an elegant Georgian Town House. For a luxury Town House in central London that truly makes you feel at home, make tracks for the Academy. Guests can enjoy the quirkiness and warmth of a large private home, combined with the sophistication and services of an elegant Georgian Town House. This luxury Town House offers guests the freedom of not one, but five lavishly decorated buildings. It excels outdoors in providing not one terrace garden but two private retreats. And for the ultimate indulgence, small groups can reserve one of the houses outright, complete with the Boardroom for their private use. The Alchemy restaurant is a haven of contemporary comfort, where guests can enjoy a leisurely breakfast. The menu includes a freshly baked continental buffet, or the ultimate traditional English breakfast. In the evening, the Alchemy Bar is the ideal meeting point before venturing out to the bright lights, or for a post theatre nightcap. Deep cushioned sofas, small private corners and friendly staff give the bar a very relaxed atmosphere. For the guest requiring small meeting spaces, we can offer three well appointed meeting rooms including the charming Boardroom and the cosy Library. We also have an informal Conservatory adjoining one of the gardens, which lends itself perfectly to private entertaining. There is no lift.
