About The New Inn
Situated right in the heart of Gloucester, the New Inn is the perfect place to stay. Fully licensed restaurant, comfortable rooms and a traditional Gloucester welcome. Built from around 1430, as an inn for pilgrims who came to the Cathedral, it has a medieval courtyard with galleries on all sides. The Chapman Group have recently bought the New Inn and have restored the bedrooms that were converted into offices, and refurbished the buildings. It has been described as the finest example of a medieval galleried Inn to be seen in Britain today. The New Inn's carvery grill and restaurant is the place to eat in Gloucester. Our Chef takes great pride in the creation of our traditional English Fare. The restaurant seats up to 80 and chefs specials and a full grill menu are available daily. The traditional atmosphere and wonderful beamed rooms make for an unbeatable place to eat. Please be aware that the hotel has no lift.
