The Manor features beautiful, individual bedrooms, some with private terraces, and lounges with fine antiques, tapestries and furnishings. A Manor has stood on this spot since the time of the Domesday Book. The present Tudor- Jacobean house, in honey-coloured stone with slate roofs, has 54 acres of grounds. In the 1930s, it hosted such illustrious guests as T. S. Eliot, who wrote an ode to Charingworth. Its old-world charm has been preserved during modernisation and each spacious room is furnished with antiques and English fabrics. The hotel boasts three luxurious suites and two of the period rooms have four-poster beds. Bathrooms are individually appointed with fluffy bathrobes and toiletries supplied.
