About Graces cottage

Nestling in a quiet backwater of the delightful village of Hartington at the head of the Dove Valley Graces Cottage a perfect place to stay.Graces cottage is warm and welcoming an immaculate limestone property retaining many of its original features , including oak beams wooden flooring and exposed stonework. 'Beautifully furnished and decorated to the highest standard' . The sunny double bedroom has a lovely iron bed. The twin bedded room has a beamed ceiling and exposed beams in the walls. The lounge has a wooden floor with rugs for comfort. There is a lounge kitchen dinning area with lovely wooden kitchen with coveniences electric cooker ,microwave ,fridge with freezer compartment colour TV with DVD CD player full Central Heating . The bathroom has a shower wc and wash hand basin .
Accomodation at Graces cottage- one double and one twin bedded room ,shower room .Large open plan sitting/dining room with kithchen area .Private patio area at the rear with garden furniture .Field to the rear of the cottage leading to the Dove Valley belonging to the owner of the cottage Provided there are no stock in the field feel free to use the field . Off road parking.
Set in a quiet back water ofpretty Hartington village ,with its duck pond ,vlllage green ,shops and pubs. The olde Cheese shop selling a fine range of cheeses as well as its famous stilton . The antique shop ,village store,pubs and hotel .
The Area
The market town of Ashbourne (with swimming pool and sqash courts) and Bakewell (famous for its Bakewell pudding) are 12 and 8 miles away respectively. All these market towns have an extensive range of interesting shops and street markets. The spa town of Buxton lies 12 miles away, and boasts the renowned Buxton Opera House and the Cresent together with Pooles cavern and for the younger age group 'go ape '.There is Carsington Water and Tiddersworth Water for those who like water sports.Both provide beautiful walking .
The cottage is set at the head of the Dove Valley in the White Peak there is a wealth of countryside for walking cycling out door activities .
Close by ,there is magnificient Chatsworth House and garden , set in a 1000acres of parkland. Haddon Hall a perfect example of a medieval manor house . Alton Towers offering a fun packed outing for all the family is only 20mins away.
