This traditional 17th century coaching inn nestles near the beautiful River Eden in the ancient town of Appleby in Westmorland. The Royal Oak is ideal for a one night stop over as you explore the Pennine Way, Settle-Carlisle railway or Lake District. It is also a perfect base for a family holiday or venue for a business seminar. As well as en suite guestrooms, there is a charming 2 bedroom stone cottage for those who prefer to self-cater and run to their own holiday schedule. The recently refurbished restaurant serves regularly changing seasonal specials, using the finest ingredients from local suppliers. Up to 60 diners can be accommodated for special occasions. Enjoy real cask ales in the traditional bar. Royal Oak Appleby is only a half mile from the A66 and 10 miles from junction 40 on the M6.
