Built in the mid 19th century in the centre of Barrow-In Furness, on the edge of the lake district, this traditional oak-beamed inn boasts both old world charm and the amenities we have all come to expect from a modern hotel. The Ambrose Hotel is a family run hotel with 17 en-suite well appointed bedrooms. Located close to the areas main attractions, including Piel Castle, the hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the historical sights of Barrow-In-Furness. A small car park is available to guests free of charge, however there is not always enough spaces for all guests. Free parking is available on the surrounding streets, although please be aware that Monday to Friday, between 09.00 and 17.00, these are often taken up by office workers.
