Pictures of Berkshire![]() Submitted by Edward Lever(17th November 2009)St.James' Church, Reading This beautiful Roman Catholic Church was one of the first Church buildings designed by the famous architect A.W.N. Pugin. The association with St. James arises from the fact that Reading Abbey possessed the relic of the hand of St. James. The Church is designed in a Romanesque style, presumably influenced by the connections with Reading Abbey.
