Barton le Clay Watermill

Barton Watermill, Barton-le-Clay. There has been a mill on this site dating back to the Domesday book. The present mill stopped working in 1929 and has now been turned into a 'Shopping Village'. This pond is now just ornamental. In the stream feeding it, they used to grow our local Watercress ... sadly not any more.
