Submitted by Lyn Greenaway(24th February 2008)

Elstow Church taken between the clock/bell tower and church itself.

Legend says when the towers were built they were joined to the church, but the Devil tried to show his strength by stealing them. He failed in this but managed to push the tower away from the church so he would retain a vantage point to watch all the wicked activities of the local people. Unfortunately for the devil the people of Elstow were well behaved
