History on a Wall. Crosby Merseyside. By their very nature, modern storage and warehousing facilities tend to be functional, and at best, a bit bland. This is an exception to the rule. As you look at the mural a window into the Edwardian past of Crosby is opened, featuring the Liverpool Overhead Railway, sand dunes, beach scenes, a vintage tram and a Liver Bird plus other local views. Starling at Crosby The ubiquitous Starling is probably not the most popular bird here, but when looked at more closely, they do have beautiful plumage and are natural comics and mimic sounds. We used to have one who visited the garden and had mastered a near perfect phone ring. In vast numbers they provide a stunning view, sweeping at sunset to roost. Iron Man facing the tide at Crosby I took this on 17th March 2014 not really expecting the tide to be so high. A walk on the beach was impossible but I did notice one of the Iron Men stoic in his resolve to face the waves of the incoming tide and the way the water was swirling around him. I attached my 70-300 lens and took three shots, before retreating from the biting wind. This one pleased me the most.
