 | Mobscooter(7th December 2019)It certainly gives an impression of monochrome but the green mossy top of the wall gives the game away.
A very effective shot - well presented, thankyou Mr. Tooth. |
 | Mobscooter(30th November 2019)Nice composure of effects caught Steve. The bridge and river stumps line up well and the orange and blue contrast beautifully. The symmetry works very well. |
 | Mobscooter(16th November 2019)A superb shot Pat. The detail is wonderfully sharp, especialy in the wings. The colour is so good too. Really pleasing. |
 | Mobscooter(13th November 2019)They are caged pebbles off the beach that are wire box constructions tied together and forming a wall. There are quite a few pictures showing them in the B.S. Gallery - look for shots pointing east or west containing the beach huts.

 | Mobscooter(13th November 2019)It's a ramp down from the top deck to the lower deck servicing the shops on the southern bank of the Thames. So it's a way from walking along the Millennium bridge and down to the next level and shops. |
 | Mobscooter(9th November 2019)Was the car a Golf, Peggy? It looks like the sculpture is holding a big golf ball. Nice study of colours at any rate. |
 | Mobscooter(5th November 2019)Nicely framed by the trees. |
 | Mobscooter(5th November 2019)A damp day but still a lovely shot Paul. |
 | Mobscooter(26th October 2019)Great set of shots. I love how the gull on the dock seems unmoved despite the ship getting nearer. |
 | Mobscooter(26th October 2019)I agree with Peggy, the picture is sharp and clear but certainly gives the impression of impending rain. |
 | Mobscooter(21st October 2019)Sorry if it offends, Paul. See the next picture called "Boo". I can't be serious all the time and at least it made me smile. :-) |
 | Mobscooter(14th October 2019)Wonderful set of pictures Paul. The colours are really lively and the shots look very crisp. |
 | Mobscooter(13th October 2019)What a pleasant combination of Gravesend pictures, Paul. I have never visited that part of Kent. Is there any noteworthy reason for its name? |
 | Mobscooter(15th September 2019)Very good shot, Peggy - but where's the bus stop? The red and blue certainly contrast well. |
 | Mobscooter(15th September 2019)I do like how you've framed this shot with the side reveals. |
 | Mobscooter(15th September 2019)Brilliant set of shots, Myra, superb colours.
Do you know, dear, it looks a superb place to hold a stag party? |
 | Mobscooter(12th September 2019)Another geat shot with lots of colour.
That is a Peel P50, made in the Isle of Man between 1962 and 1965.

 | Mobscooter(12th September 2019)Very good, Peggy. You captured it very nearly centrally between the pillars.
Peterborough recently had a moon in the same postion made from NASA photographs.

 | Mobscooter(2nd September 2019)Are the two cottage pictures of neighbouring cottage groups? Their surrounding stone walls look quite similar - as do their foundation boards!
I had to look twice as they are very well detailed. |
 | Mobscooter(14th August 2019)You have got a good portfolio of very impressive shots of Minehead, PoE. It's intriguing for me to see them. In 1970 my wife and I went from Sheffield to Mevagissey on my Triumph and we tried without success to get B&B in Minehead. That's the only time I've ever been and now I can see what I missed. Thank you for posting these impressive shots. |
 | Mobscooter(13th August 2019)Good one PoE. I love how the church tower seems to appear over the rooftops - sort of "I spire, with my little tower...." |
 | Mobscooter(13th August 2019)Good picture spoiled by telephone cables, they should banned or a special filter to dispose of them. |
 | Mobscooter(13th August 2019)Top left hand corner and dead centre. There are approx. 19 individuals in that shot also. Edward would say it's overpeopled not overexposed! |
 | Mobscooter(8th August 2019)I was unaware of the technicality of the shot and thank you for explaining things. I see that it is quite elevated to centre top of two taller side windows. I ament my comment and praise your expertize, Edward. That sort of shot is not one that I would aspire to achieve. |
 | Mobscooter(7th August 2019)Very good Edward. When I take stained glass window shots mine come out over or under exposed each time. Being picky, I would have preferred to see what is holding the glass in place though. |
 | Mobscooter(7th August 2019)You have taken a very good picture here, the look of that lane is inviting me to go and see what's round the corners. Smashing and exciting. |
 | Mobscooter(2nd August 2019)No need to apologise, Edward, you made a fair comment. Had I moved further down the street I could have paused to take a more full frontal shot - but then I would lose most of the right cliff/sea view. We live and learn all the time. No offence taken. |
 | Mobscooter(2nd August 2019)Thanks for the comment, Edward. However, the "big item of street furniture in the lower left of the frame" is in fact the right hand gatepost of an access drive to the property next door. From the angle I was sat in my mobility scooter and inability to reposition because of parked cars, it would have meant cutting out the left of the white house. |
 | Mobscooter(1st August 2019)Very, very nice and pleasant. Clear colours, sharp focus, well composed. Congratulations Peter. |
 | Mobscooter(31st July 2019)Very good Poe. That farmer has his work cut out to gather that crop. Good depth of field. |
 | Mobscooter(31st July 2019)It was probably built to be photographed which may explain how it appears to be monochrome behind the colour of the boat. It certainly makes you look and thanks for the intrigue. |
 | Mobscooter(29th July 2019)What a lovely set of shots, Paul. With the blue skies and glorious colour ranges it must have been warmer at Walmer than elsewhere. I still marvel at the lack of "lookenpeeper" people in your views. |
 | Mobscooter(29th July 2019)Thanks for your compliments, Pat. |
 | Mobscooter(28th July 2019)Thankyou for yor comments, Edward. It was truly a sunny day and in this shot the sun was fortunately not directly in front of me. |
 | Mobscooter(13th July 2019)I like the kaleidoscope of different colours in your recent set of shots, Dawn. Wouldn't England be dull if there were no seasonal changes? |
 | Mobscooter(13th July 2019)What a good shot. Were you up the tree to get the angle right? |
 | Mobscooter(12th July 2019)Thanks for the comment, Poe.
As you can see, it was taken on Boxing Day - I was on my motorbike going to meet fellow riders at the Boxing Day venue at High Force. It certainly was a tad chilly, that I can remember, but worth it. |
 | Mobscooter(11th July 2019)This brings back a few memories. I've had a few good visits to the whitewashed King's Arms seen on the harbour wall. Thanks Lesley, nice shot. |
 | Mobscooter(10th July 2019)Isn't PoE wonderful. Isaw these pictures and thought ar first there was a spelling mistake. I'd hear of Chillingham Castle but I didn't even know of Chilham Castle. Thank you for a lovely set of pictures, Paul, which show me how much I am missing. You have a wonderful series here illustrating Chilham. |
 | Mobscooter(3rd July 2019)I was going to discount this picture, Edward, but then I read your description. What a loss to Reading its demolition would have been. I think it's vital that history, not necessarily Edwardian but any history, must be retained so future generations can enjoy the buildings and look at them too. |
 | Mobscooter(3rd July 2019)A nice scene that is quite like Budleigh Salterton with pebbles, boats and sea. Even the plants look similar. |
 | Mobscooter(3rd July 2019)I agree with you Edward, the picture certainly catches the eye and makes you think. A nice shot, Chris. |
 | Mobscooter(23rd June 2019)What a splendid view of Polesden Lacy Paul. That set of pictures was a wonderful display of both gardens and accomplished photography. Still can't see many people in your shots! I don't know how you manage to make them disappear. |
 | Mobscooter(15th June 2019)In the blink of an eye, obviously by a star pupil! |
 | Mobscooter(15th June 2019)Smashing shot, Paul. Looks good enough for a paddle. |
 | Mobscooter(14th June 2019)Very catching panorama. I bet you get good phone recption up there as well. |
 | Mobscooter(14th June 2019)Very colourful and so near D-day rememberances. |
 | Mobscooter(14th June 2019)Lovelly shot. I like the bursts of rain. Leek seems aptly named! |
 | Mobscooter(12th June 2019)That's a really clever picture having the sun from behind lighting the foreground and the sky well contrasted by the dark clouds. As Edward says all it needs is a flash of lightning. |
 | Mobscooter(12th June 2019)Colourful sky, Cass. I've actually had a swim under that pier - many years ago. |
 | Mobscooter(12th June 2019)Lush green fields. trees, crags and cloud scudded sky. What a lovely Yorkshire shot. Put the kettle-well on and we'll all have a cup of tea. |
 | Mobscooter(12th June 2019)I am sorry for misleading you all. The ship was used as Reception for my daughter's wedding, not as the church. |
 | Mobscooter(10th June 2019)That's amazing. It gives me the impression of looking through a telscope. |
 | Mobscooter(9th June 2019)Glad you like it Cass. Thanks for the comment.
We Geordies knaa wot we lyke man, divvent wi? |
 | Mobscooter(9th June 2019)That's right, Edward. I set the exposure for the brightness through the arch, which made the inside wall of the arch very shaded otherwise you see the wall but not the view. |
 | Mobscooter(5th June 2019)Beautiful, Paul. The colours look stunning together with the composition.
How do you get rid of the public from your photos?
|
 | Mobscooter(25th May 2019)Thank you very much. It fits the description perectly according to my wild flower book definition. It also says it's part of the Bugloss family. |
 | Mobscooter(11th May 2019)Wonderful. It looks as if the wisteria has been knitted into a scarf with big needles. |
 | Mobscooter(31st March 2019)Thank you poe and thank you Edward.
As you can see from the EXIF the shot was taken in 2013 with my first DSLR Canon and exposure/timing/aperture were left quite automatic back then. |
