The little Greenstone Anglican parish church At Bag Enderby is dedicated to St Margaret. Dating from the early fifteenth-century it was built by Albini de Enderby who died in 1407. In the early 1800's Alfred Lord Tennyson's father, George Clayton Tennyson, was the vicar of two tiny churches a half-mile apart, one at Somersby and this one at Bag Enderby and village legend as it that the Tennyson daughters used to hang swings from the branches of a nearby tree under which it is also said that John Wesley once preached.
