I am back for a few weeks now, but I did not take the time yet to post messages to this forum.

I had a great time!!! It was a wonderful trip, but too short. ;) I will tell all about it in the appropriate forum. I'm not sure tough if my pictures are good enough to put them on this site.

Anyway, I will go back next year. Can't wait!!! lol

Lucky you, for this trip to Kent.  If you're in the Maidstone/Thurnham area, and if you run into anyone with the surname "Seager," would you tell them of their American cousin?  I'd trade places with them!  (I've never been there, sadly).

On another Kent-related topic, does anyone have any news of the controversial "Kent International Gateway" project?

Hi David,

I'm sorry, but I have not met anyone with the name "Seager". ;-)

As far as I know, the government rejected the plan.

I'm glad of that--I understand it would have been rather ruinous to the local scenery!

Thank you to all for the tips about Kent.  I'm going to jot them all down and put them in the trip plans for 2012.  We're going to be lucky enough to spend part of spring and all summer across the pond.  Now we are definitely going to KENT.  I've been looking at photos and Leeds castle stole my heart.  Do you think Maidstone is the best town to stay in while exploring Kent?

There are several guest houses outside of Maidstone, which is a horrendous place to get in and out of!

There are several Bed & Breakfasts in Leeds village and very close to Leeds Castle.

Andy

For information such as that Andy (why I edited) it would be better to contact Linda-Mary via POE facility, but remember also that a particular B&B may not be on the POE site, and thus POE won't pick up any commission to help keep the site going.

What is "horrendous" about Maidstone?  Traffic?  It's not a very large town, is it?
