Just in case anyone missed it, here's a copy of the recent newsletter that went out for May 2019
Photos & Contributors - May 2019
Welcome to the first of our monthly Picture & Contributors emails which every month will showcase some of the recent pictures submitted, along with links to the galleries of those that submitted them. Please show your appreciation to the photographers by checking out their recent images and leaving picture comments when you can. Thank you, and we hope you enjoy the content.
May 2019 Photos and Contributors
Throughout the month of May, member 'Mobscooter' who has been with us since January 2019 submitted exactly 100 images, with many being around his home county of Devon, but also some from other parts of England including as far north as Newcastle, with some superb coastal shots and nature shots in the mix, including this unusual shot of Swans swimming in the sea! Please check out his latest here, and we hope you'll agree some of his photos are simply brilliant.
Other nature photography in May has come from Premier member Ray Bird, who has been uploading some of his impressive past collection from in and around the Gloucestershire countryside. Check them out here.
Premier Member Paul Johnson, who joined us in August of last year has also been very active on the site in recent weeks, not just with his own fantastic photos he's been intermittently adding (see here), but also with his commenting and critiquing on other members photos too, which is great to see and helps generate interest on the site. Please check out Paul's latest photos here.
With Liverpool Football Club proudly bringing home the European Cup to the city, long time Premier Member Rod Burkey treated us to this highly impressive street art which portrays the current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who himself has been one of the more colourful characters of the English Premier league since becoming manager at the historic Merseyside club. Also from Rod, and which coincided with the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings, was this very poignant image (above) of the National Naval Memorial, in Alrewas, Staffordshire.
Another Premier member who has been with us for many years now and active during May was Edward Lever, who continues to showcase the wonderful buildings and architecture from around the town of Reading, with some fantastic shots of buildings both modern and old, such as the impressive Abbey Gateway above. Check out Edward's latest here, where you will also see photos of Caversham, and Grey's Court which he uploaded during the month of May.

PLEASE SUPPORT THE SITE
Any donations made from this point on will be matched by an anonymous Pictures of England member, until the end of the year and up to a maximum of £1000. This is a massive opportunity for us, as it means that if enough members donate, then we could get enough to have some of the urgent re-development done to the site so that it can become self-sustainable, ensuring its survival as its currently in danger of vanishing for good. Therefore please kindly consider making a donation as soon as you can towards the site, so that we can make the most of this fantastically generous opportunity offered by one of our members. Thank you so much to everyone who contributes. We will post progress in the forum shortly.
Here is the donation page - thank you so much for anything you can manage to contribute. Please note you do not need a paypal account to make a donation, but any valid credit/debit card will do. Thank you for your kind support.
