good response 'team', but as Dominic only requires A4 size prints, i dont think he'll have any problem with jpegs and I think his printer or printing company should cope.

Dominic actually said A1 which is getting close to 2 x 3 foot photos, and as just mentioned, if the Raw files are available from his chosen photos, the converting to a TIFF would be preferable. For a high quality print of this sort of size, I think you're looking at a file size of some 70 megs. The print lab should be able to upsize the photos to the size they want and the resolution level as well.

Thanks for all your advice. I believe it is necessary to provide TIFF files of a minimum size of 50mb to achieve what I want to at A1.

I must say this is an invaluable site and your responses have been very welcoming. Once again many thanks to you all.
