Culzean Castle, Maybole, South Ayrshire
The shoreline below Culzean Castle at a small sandy cove called Port Carrick. The cove is reached by a wooden staircase leading from a corner of the Swan Pond in the castle grounds. The stretch of water is the Firth of Clyde and the Isle of Arran can be seen to the west.
