The Gables is set in 2 acres of gardens outside Duddo, surrounded by the Cheviot Hills. This family-run bed and breakfast is housed in a charming Victorian villa, once a vicarage. The Gables offers lovely, period-style décor with antique furnishings, elegant prints and fabrics. Its 2 spacious rooms have a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee-making facilities. Period-style bathrooms are located within or outside the room. The Gables' picturesque setting offers views of the surrounding countryside, which is ideal for walking, golfing, fishing, cycling and bird-watching. You can go salmon fishing in the nearby River Tweed and enjoy walks along the Northumberland coastline. You can enjoy a breakfast prepared with local produce in the elegant dining room, while the South-facing study looks onto the gardens. Local country pubs and hearty cuisine can be found within a 10-minute drive. The historic Border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed is just 15 minutes’ drive away.
