About Bruno's Lodge

The farm is set in beautiful countryside on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors in Ryedale with many farmyard animals including goats, poultry, pet Dexter cattle (a bull who thinks he's a horse!),coloured, Haflinger & Appaloosa horses, Jimmie the micro- pig, Coco the mischievous donkey, friendly farm cats and dogs, ewes and lambs. Many of the animals have been resuced and guests are welcome to interact with them.
Pets are welcome and we have a farm walk with abundant wildlife including foxes hares, deer, curlews, partridge, herons, skylarks and pheasants and a chance to see green energy being grown - our short coppice willows.
Some of the buildings on the farm are up to 300 years old and swallows return to them each year flying in and out of the buildings all summer long. The farm has an environmental friendly policy to encourage wildlife and our animals graze on land that is free from chemical sprays and fertilisers. Most of the electricity is supplied by our wind turbine and solar panels.
The area is a walker’s paradise and has many abbeys, castles, museums and country pubs serving high quality food. Scarborough, Whitby and the historic city of York are within easy reach.
The bedroom has fitted wardrobes and clock/radio alarm; en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, heated towel rail; sitting room with remote control LCD TV with freeview and built-in DVD player, and dining area tastefully furnished in pine and cane; small well-equipped kitchen (including microwave, fridge & full sized cooker).
The cottage is double glazed throughout and the heating and hot water is provided by our eco friendly biomass boiler which burns our own coppice willow.
Outside there is plenty of offroad parking and the cottage has its own garden furniture.
Prices include wi-fi, heating, electricity, linen and towels.
