Sleeping 4 adults + 2 children Jasmine cottage is located in a stone built 18th century barn, surrounded by rolling hills and farmland. It has a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area with dining table, breakfast bar, Freesat TV and dvd player. The bathroom is downstairs and comprises toilet, basin and shower over the bath. Both the kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped to Tourist Board 3 * standard. Upstairs there is a spacious double bedroom with velux windows and a large second twin-bedded room with an extra bunk bed for children.
Bed linen and towels are supplied free of charge, as is all electricity and heating. Cots and highchairs are also provided on request. There is ample parking space close to the cottage.There is a large mature and attractive shared garden, suitable for playing or relaxing, and a games room and play area for children. Changeover day for this cottage is a Saturday and guests are welcome after 2pm on the day of arrival and requested to leave by 10am on the day of departure.
For nature enthusiasts there is a large variety of birds and wild flowers on the surrounding paths and fields, including some badger setts nearby. There are many miles of delightful footpaths to explore, including the fine coastal path with its views over the 'Jurassic coast'. Also nearby are the famous fossil beaches of Charmouth and Lyme Regis, and the harbour of West Bay, which offers boating, sea fishing and is better known to many as 'Broadchurch'. Bridport is the nearest town, with a traditional street market, vintage quarter, tours of the local brewery and an excellent swimming pool and leisure centre. The nearby village of Chideock boasts 2 pubs, a shop and post office, with a couple of larger supermarkets and all other amenities 3 miles away in Bridport.
In fact, being only a mile off the main road, yet wonderfully peaceful, this is the ideal location for access by car to many attractions in Dorset, Devon and Somerset.
