About Barnes Cottage

Barnes Cottage is one of three superbly equipped cottages where comfort and relaxation are top priorities. The three tastefully furnished cottages named after Dorset literary figures, Hardy, Barnes and Blyton are in a courtyard setting in lovingly restored single storey farm buildings full of character and charm.
Adjacent to the cottage is a heated indoor splash-pool with wide steps and handrails for easy access, a pool hoist for the less-abled, for use with guests own sling/harness. There are fully accessible changing rooms, showers and toilets.
There is also a large recreation room with libraries for both children and adults and a selection of books, games for all ages and some musical instruments.
A wide range of mobility equipment can be loaned free of charge or more specialist equipment hire can be organised for guests. Carers can be provided by local agencies familiar with the properties and facilities.
Barnes Cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms. The Cottage also has a cosy living/dining room,a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave etc. The shower room is 'wet-room style and there are no steps and everywhere is fully wheelchair accessible.
Outside, the landscaped gardens have a seating area, sensory planting and raised beds. The views over farmland towards Bullbarrow Hill and Inberton Hill are just beautiful and you will be tempted to remain there for hours.
There is a good internet/Wi-Fi connection and lots of TV channels to choose from. We generally do not accept pets but will allow assistance dogs by prior arrangement.
