About Swallow Barn, Halsbeer Farm

Set within 30 acres of farmland on the edge of the Blackdown Hills Halsbeer Farm is the ideal place from which to explore Devon's picturesque countryside. Either on foot or by car with historic Honiton and the majestic Jurassic coast but a short drive away.
The four self-catering cottages used to be an integral part of the working farmstead which dates back to the Domesday Book. The cottages have been carefully restored with flagstone floors, oak beams and furnished with beautiful beds and ample furniture. Relax in-front of the TV, get online on your laptop or cook up a storm in our well-equipped kitchens or simply relax with a book in the shared conservatory.
Swallow Barn has a beautiful open plan living area with panoramic views over the Blackdown Hills and across the duckpond. It sleeps six comfortably with a large lounge and dining area, wheelchair access and a patio looking over the pond making it the perfect place for a family getaway.
The ground floor of Swallow Barn has traditional flag-stoned floors and is home to a lounge and separate kitchen both with patio access and a double bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite shower room. The large L-shaped lounge sits below a huge vaulted ceiling and will seat the whole family comfortably. It has an large TV and WiFi along with a dining table that seats six. The fitted kitchen is finished with granite worktops and an electric range cooker along with everything else you'll need to make you feel at home whilst preparing food.
Swallow has views of the countryside from the lounge across the lawn and a private patio overlooking the duckpond along with barbeque and outside dining facilities.
The first floor houses two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms; one with a kingsize four-poster bed and balcony with stunning views across the farm. The other room has twin 2ft6' single beds. Upstairs has vaulted ceilings and stripped pine floors. The rooms have been finished in natural tones and furnished to a high standard to provide you with a luxurious and natural place to stay.
We are family (and dog) friendly and have plenty of facilities for children here at the farm including a 24' heated indoor swimming pool and a well stocked games room. Younger children can enjoy themselves in our enclosed play area with swings and a slide whilst the young adult of the group can sink into a book or get online with WiFi access.
All four of our cottages have their own private outdoor space with patio furniture and barbecue facilities. There's also plenty of other communal space around the farm including our marvellous conservatory which overlooks a large, well-stocked pond for duck and moorhen watching. The conservatory can seat up to twenty two people for dinner and is a great sun trap for reading a book well into the evening whereupon you can light the log burner for a little extra comfort.
