About Cider Cottage - Halsbeer Farm

We are family (and dog) friendly and have plenty of facilities for children here at the farm including a 24' heated indoor swimming pool and a well stocked games room. Younger children can entertain themselves in our enclosed play area with swings and sandpit whilst the young adult of the group can sink into a book or get online with wifi access in each of our properties.
Each cottages has its own private outdoor space with patio furniture and barbecue facilities. Our marvellous communal conservatory overlooks a large, well-stocked pond for duck and moorhen watching. It can seat up to twenty-two people for dinner and is a great sun trap for reading a book well into the evening whereupon you can light the log burner for a little extra comfort.
Halsbeer Farm sits in 30 acres of unspoilt beautiful Devon farmland at the foot of the Blackdown Hills just a mile from the local villages of Kentisbeare and Blackborough. The complex consists of a number of barns which were renovated in 2001. The farm itself was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.
Halsbeer farm is the ideal place from which to explore Devon's picturesque countryside. Either on foot in the neighbouring Blackdown Hills, or by car with historic Honiton and the majestic Jurassic coast but a short drive away.
We have ample space to kick a ball around in or take the dogs for a well deserved walk. Sometimes there are sheep on the fields and plenty of wildlife to watch such as deer, birds including woodpeckers and buzzards.
This lovely three bedroom oak-beamed cottage would have been the apple store here at Halsbeer Farm. Nowadays it's the perfect place for a family to get a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Cider Cottage has flagged stone floors with an open plan kitchen living and dining area with oak fitments and is suitable for wheelchair users. The fitted kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and large fridge freezer. A washing machine and tumble dryer are provided for guests' use in a separate communal laundry room across the courtyard.
Leading from the kitchen area is a conservatory where you can eat your breakfast and open the doors to the front courtyard with a four-seater bistro set of table and chairs. At the rear of the kitchen there are double doors leading to a large paved private patio and barbecue area with further table and chairs with parasol.
The living area has a TV/DVD player and leading off the main living area there is a double bedroom with kingsize bed and a large en suite shower room with shower seat and grab rails.
Upstairs there are two spacious bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and stripped pine floors. The master bedroom has a kingsize four poster bed and ensuite bathroom with roll top bath. The other room has twin beds (3ft singles) with en-suite shower room.
