About Apple Cottage - Halsbeer Farm

Set within 30 acres of farmland on the edge of the beautiful Blackdown Hills, Halsbeer Farm is the ideal place from which to explore Devon's picturesque countryside. Explore the local area on foot, by bike, or by car. Historic Honiton and the majestic Jurassic coast are but a short drive away with many other nearby attractions to keep visitors of all ages entertained.
Our cottages and communal spaces make Halsbeer a perfect place for a gathering of friends or family. All four cottages combined can sleep up to 22 people. The marvellous conservatory overlooks a large, well stocked pond for duck and moorhen watching. It can seat up to twenty-two people for dinner and is a great sun trap for reading a book well into the evening whereupon you can light the log burner for a little extra comfort.
We are family (and dog) friendly and have plenty of facilities for children here at the farm including a 24' heated indoor swimming pool and a well-stocked games room. Younger children can enjoy themselves in our enclosed play area with swings and slide whilst the young adults can get online with wifi access in each of our properties.
All four of our cottages have their own private outdoor space with patio furniture and barbecue facilities.
This lovely two-bedroom oak-beamed cottage would have been the apple store here at Halsbeer farm. Nowadays it's the perfect place for a couple or small family to get a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The downstairs of Apple cottage consists of a large flagstone-floored living area with kitchen and dining facilities and plenty of space to sit back and relax in the peaceful surroundings. The well-stocked kitchen is equipped with a microwave along with a wide selection of cooking utensils to make you feel at home. A washing machine and tumble dryer are provided for guests' use in a separate communal laundry room across the courtyard.
Adjoining the property is a private gravelled patio area with a gas barbecue and ample outdoor seating making dining al fresco an enjoyable experience for the whole family.
The first floor of Apple cottage is accessed via a wooden staircase with a turn. It has a double and a single bedroom both furnished to a high standard with stripped pine floors and views across the farm. There is also a bathroom with a bath and shower over. Bespoke wooden stairgates are fitted to keep toddlers safe and dogs downstairs.
