Popular Cornish resort in the heart of the beautiful Roseland peninsula, Veryan is a place of strong Cornish traditions which offers it's visitors a genuine welcome.

The village is famous for it's 19th-century 'round houses' built so, in order to keep the Devil away. The villagers at that time believed Satan could not hide in a house without corners! It is also famous for it's fantastic position looking towards Nare's Head and overlooking the Roseland Heritage Coast into Veryan Bay. The resort enjoys an all year round mild climate which brings an early growth of lovely spring flowers and causes a continual flourish of exquisite colourful plantation. Veryan is a short distance away from some fine gardens and some of Cornwall's oldest estates. It is a paradise for the yachting fraternity and the haunt of artists.
There are fine walks along coastal paths where you can stop to enjoy the antics of wild seabirds as they 'dive' to catch supper or a mid-day meal. From the high vantage point at Nare's Head there are unrivalled views of the mighty ocean turned gold by streaming rays of a setting sun.

Whilst quite definitely off the beaten track, Veryan offers a haven of peace between glowing pastures and a mighty, majestic ocean.

Places to visit include: Trelissick Gardens (NT), The Penjerrick Estate and Gardens, The Gardens at Trebah, St. Mawes, Falmouth and Truro.
